The United States 2nd Marine Division removes wounded from a battlefield in Saipan, Mariana Islands during World War II. The marines carry a stretcher towards a first aid room. A native child lying on the stretcher being given first aid. Doctors and Corpsmen treat a casualty as they remove old bandages. The marines carry a stretcher with a native child lying on it and load it aboard an ambulance jeep. The jeep pulls away.
