BACK TO “HORSE AND BUGGY” DAYS
ST. MERE EGLISE, FRANCE—Although they arrived in France by way of the most speedy, modern means of transportation, these paratroopers of the Allied invasion force revert to the “good ole days” as they jog along behind a horse and wagon. The field wagon was used by the Nazis when they ran short of vehicles.
