Blood to Their Ancestors
Maingkwan, Burma – The bodies of Jap warriors and their horses, blown into the world of their ancestors by men of Maingkwan-Walumbum, are strewn along a road about three-quarters of a mile out of Maingkwan. A retreating company of eighty men and six officers was blasted down to the scorched Earth by Chinese shell-fire and mortars.
