Egypt – Here’s how a U.S. tankist parks himself for the night on the Egyptian desert. He digs himself a slit-trench bed, which isn’t exactly a commodious as his bed at home but affords shelter from enemy shrapnel. Note that the Yank, Benjamin Folsom Jr., prefers British shorts to trousers for wear under the scorching desert sun, as do many Americans in Egypt.
